24 Hour Comic: Commedia Part 4

Finally, here's the dramatic conclusion and epilogue. This part was easy and painless, and I had it all wrapped up by 11:30 AM. Success! Challenge accomplished!

24 Hour Comic: Commedia Part 3

And this is where I rolled out my secret plan for hitting the 24-pages-in-24-hours target: Lots of crazy splash pages. It didn't hurt that these were the crazy setpiece scenes I'd been looking forward to throughout the whole ordeal.

So here comes the penultimate installment! Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 4 here.

24 Hour Comic: Commedia Part 2

The story continues, and the rampaging escalates. I think I finished page 12 well after 1:00 AM, so I was falling behind schedule at this point, but fortunately I'd planned the story so that all the tiny detail-packed panels were in the first half. From here on, it starts getting really crazy.

In case you're curious, I think the first panel of page 12 is still my favorite one in the whole story.

24 Hour Comic: Commedia Part 1

So I took the 24 Hour Comic Day challenge over the weekend, as hosted by the Academy of Art and emcee'd by the inimitable Dan Cooney. To my amazement, I actually finished 30 minutes ahead of schedule, so this is technically a 23.5 Hour Comic.

I'll be serializing the 24-page story in four installments over the course of the week, so keep checking back as the saga unfolds. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reevaluate our whole professional relationship...

Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here.
